Shipping, Storage, Returns


During the warm weather months (which sometimes start as early as March here in Arizona), we ship only Monday through Wednesday, and will pack your chocolate in special insulated packaging with cold packs so it will reach you unmelted.

During the cooler months, we ship within 48 hours (usually within 24 hours), Monday through Friday.

We ship by Priority Mail so your chocolate reaches you quickly, in the best condition.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.


Once you've received your chocolate, the best way to store it is in a cool, dry place out of direct sun where the relative humidity is less than 70%. Optimum temperature for storing chocolate long-term is between 54°F and 68°F (12° and 20°C),
But let's be real here - most people's houses are warmer than that for most of the year, so the best advice is simply to enjoy it when you get it, one piece at a time on a daily basis, and don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special! Savor it now. If you do that, you'll never have to worry about storage :)
If the chocolate gets warm or the temperature fluctuates too much, it will begin to turn white (called "bloom"). This is the cocoa butter moving toward the surface, and does not mean that it has spoiled or gone bad. 

Returns Policy

If you experience any dissatisfaction with your chocolate, please contact us right away at We'll be happy to get back to you promptly.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
